REVIT MODEL AT ASHEVILLE REGIONAL AIRPORT

OVERVIEW

DBS was awarded the contract to design an LOD300 Revit model for Gresham Smith, the architect responsible for the terminal modernization project at the Asheville Regional Airport.

The task encompassed a massive 100,000 sf, covering both public and non-public spaces within the airport. The primary objective was to detail the above-ceiling interstitial space to pinpoint and model all MEP components with a diameter of 1” or more. This initiative was spurred by the airport’s pressing need for updated as-builts.

OUR PROCESS: REVIT MODEL CREATION

The DBS team embarked on the project with a comprehensive evaluation of the airport’s expansive and intricate spaces. DBS documented the above ceiling interstitial regions, guaranteeing precise tracking of each MEP component.

Harnessing this collected data, DBS developed an LOD300 Revit model, emphasizing accuracy throughout the modeling phase. Before finalizing the model’s delivery, the team conducted thorough validation and testing procedures to ascertain its precision and dependability.
